Who this covers

This policy covers Mundo Junk Removal & Recycling — the website at https://mundojunk.com, our booking form, our dumpster request form, and the texts and emails we send about a job.

We are a junk removal, electronics recycling and roll-off container business based in Garden Grove, CA. If anything here is unclear, call (657) 300-4416 or email info@mundojunk.com and ask.

What we collect

When you book a pickup or request a dumpster, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the service address, what you need removed, and anything else you choose to tell us — access notes, a gate code, or whether it is a home or a business.

When you pay, our payment processor collects your card details. We never see or store your full card number.

Our host records ordinary web server information such as your IP address and browser type, as every website does, to serve pages and block abuse.

That is the whole list. We do not buy personal data about you from anyone, and we do not sell yours.

Why we collect it

To quote the job, arrive at the right address, confirm the window with you, and invoice you afterwards. That is it.

Your address is also used to work out the travel charge, by measuring the distance from our yard.

We do not build advertising profiles and we do not add you to a marketing list.

Text messages (SMS)

Text messages are opt-in. When you book a pickup or request a dumpster there is a checkbox you can tick to receive texts about that job — confirmations, scheduling, and when the crew is on the way. It is unticked by default.

Leaving it unticked does not affect your booking or your price. You will still get everything in writing by email, and that email is your written quote.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent is not shared with any third parties.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to and when you agreed to it, so there is never a question about what you consented to.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not let third-party advertisers track you across other websites.

We do use Vercel Analytics, which counts page views and which pages are popular. It is cookie-free and does not follow you to other sites or build a profile of you.

If you sign in to the admin area — which only we can do — a single cookie keeps that session open and expires on its own.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of established providers to run the business, and each sees only what it needs:

Quo (formerly OpenPhone) handles calls and texts and stores your contact record. Stripe handles card payments and invoicing. Supabase stores the booking record. Resend delivers our email. Vercel hosts the site.

Each of those has its own privacy terms and is bound to use your details only to provide that service to us.

We do not share your details with anyone else, and we never sell them. The only other exception is where the law requires it, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Booking records are stored in a database that the public website can write to but cannot read back — the keys that reach your browser cannot retrieve a single customer's address.

The admin area is password-protected, is never indexed by search engines, and its session expires on its own.

No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

How long we keep it

We keep job and payment records for as long as we need them for accounting and tax — normally several years, because we are required to.

Photos and notes you send us are kept only as long as they are useful for quoting and completing the job.

Ask us to delete your details and we will remove everything we are not legally required to keep.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — call or text (657) 300-4416, or email info@mundojunk.com. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the past twelve months. You may still exercise the rights above, and you may nominate someone to do it on your behalf.

Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Reply HELP for help. You can opt out of texts and still book normally.

Children

This is a service for adults arranging work at a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if what we do changes, and the effective date above will change with it. The current version is always the one at https://mundojunk.com/privacy.
