Terms of Service

The plain-language version of how we work — quotes, bookings, what we can take, and payment.

Effective September 2026. Questions? Call (657) 300-4416.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover work done by Mundo Junk Removal & Recycling — junk removal, electronics recycling, and roll-off container rental. Booking a pickup, requesting a container, or letting our crew start work means you accept them.

If you are booking on behalf of a business or a property you do not own, you are confirming you have the authority to have the items removed.

Quotes and estimates

Prices on this site and in the booking estimator are estimates based on what you tell us. They are not a contract.

We confirm the final price with you on site, before anything goes on the truck. If the job is bigger than you described, you hear the new number first — and you can send us away at no charge.

We never re-price a load once it has been loaded.

Junk removal is priced per item with a minimum of $150 per visit.

Travel charges

Travel is measured as a straight-line distance from our yard: no charge within 6 miles, $50 from 6 to 10 miles, and $100 from 10 to 15 miles.

We do not serve addresses beyond 15 miles. The travel charge is added to the job, not included in the minimum.

If we cannot work out the distance from the address given, we will not add a travel charge without telling you first.

Booking a pickup

A booked window is a request, not a guarantee. We confirm it with you beforehand, and we will tell you promptly if we cannot make the window you picked.

To cancel or move a booking, call (657) 300-4416. There is no cancellation fee, but we appreciate as much notice as you can give.

If we arrive and nobody is there, or the items cannot be reached, we may have to reschedule.

Dumpster rental

A 50-yard container is $995, including delivery, pickup and 3 tons of disposal. Weight over 3 tons is billed at $150 per ton after the container is weighed at the scale.

The container is 24 ft long, 8 ft wide and 8 ft tall. How long it stays is agreed when we speak — we do not run a fixed rental period.

You load it. Keep the load level with the top rails: we cannot legally haul a container loaded above them, and we may have to ask you to remove material before we can take it.

The same restrictions below apply to what goes in the container, and hazardous material in a container is your responsibility, including any fee the landfill charges us to deal with it.

A loaded container is heavy. We will place it where you ask, but you are responsible for telling us if a driveway, sidewalk or private road cannot take the weight, and we are not responsible for surface damage where you have asked us to place it.

If the container is blocked on collection day — by a vehicle, a gate, or anything else — we may need to return another day.

What we cannot take

We cannot accept hazardous waste: paint, solvents, motor oil, chemicals, asbestos, propane tanks, or medical and biohazard waste.

We also cannot take damaged or swollen lithium batteries.

If we arrive and the load contains something we cannot legally carry, we will take what we can, leave the rest, and explain why.

Access and property

Please make sure we can reach the items, and that anything you want kept is clearly separated or removed. Once an item is on the truck we cannot get it back.

We take care in your home. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, or for wear caused by moving large items through tight spaces where there is no other route — we will point that out before we start.

Tell us in advance about anything fragile, any low branches or clearances, and any surface that cannot take a truck.

What happens to your items

Items become ours once loaded, and we decide where they go. We sort for recycling and donation and send to landfill only what is left.

Do not leave anything valuable or personal in the load you intend to keep — documents, keys, jewellery. Check before we start, because we cannot recover an item once it has been sorted or tipped.

Payment

Payment is due when the job is done, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

We accept card payment, and we can invoice business customers. Invoices are sent through Stripe and are payable by the date shown.

Weight overages on a container are billed after the container is weighed.

Text messaging (SMS)

Mundo Junk Removal & Recycling sends text messages only to customers who opt in by ticking the SMS consent box on our booking or container request form. The box is optional — leaving it unticked does not affect your booking or your price.

What we send: booking confirmations, scheduling updates, and crew-on-the-way alerts about your job. We do not send marketing texts.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (657) 300-4416 or email info@mundojunk.com.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy at https://mundojunk.com/privacy.

Liability

If we damage something through our own negligence, tell us straight away and we will put it right.

Except where the law does not allow us to limit it, our liability for any one job is limited to what you paid us for that job. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost income or missed appointments.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version that applies to your job is the one published at https://mundojunk.com/terms when you booked.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the courts serving Garden Grove, CA.

Questions about any of this: call (657) 300-4416 or email info@mundojunk.com.
